Me and the Moon

Macie Lazar

The moon is my neighbor, we chat every night,
I stare at her hair, what a beautiful sight.
Her stars all aligned to my heart’s sweet command,
While time stood still, like it was in my hand.

She is now my friend, I feel her in my dreams,
Our eyes glisten in the moonlight, they gleam.
We laugh and sing, one in the same.
I’m falling in love with her, it is my aim.

Now we dance through the misty night air,
The world fades away, and I lose every care.
Her presence fills the sky with a calming embrace,
As I drift through the night, lost in her grace.

She whispers soft secrets, my night in her care,
A silver companion, so gentle and rare.
Her face lights up, glistens and glows,
And I follow her path wherever she goes.
